Install the CLI first
No integration bundles the CLI — each one shells out to it. If lk is not installed and signed in, the integration installs cleanly and then does nothing, which is a confusing way to fail.

Install Zed
•
Zed → Extensions
•
Search "Local Keep AI" and press Install
•
Open the agent panel; the context server appears as a source
Using it
•
Use Zed's agent panel as normal — Local Keep AI shows up as an available context server
•
Your local models and your file context are reachable from inside Zed's own agent
Worth knowing
•
Zed deprecated slash commands in favour of context servers. If you are following an older guide that tells you to type /lk in Zed, it is out of date — there is nothing to type; the server is selected in the panel.
Where to get it
Prefer the registry listing where one exists: it self-updates and your editor's own extension browser expects it. The repository is the fallback and the place to read the source.
