Requires Eclipse 2023-03 or newer, and Java 17.
Install the CLI first
No integration bundles the CLI — each one shells out to it. If lk is not installed and signed in, the integration installs cleanly and then does nothing, which is a confusing way to fail.

Help → Eclipse Marketplace… → search "Local Keep AI" → Install

Using it

Window → Show View → Other → Local Keep AI
•
Right-click in an editor → Explain This File, or Generate Tests
•
Window → Preferences → Local Keep AI points the plugin at your lk binary if it is not on PATH
Worth knowing
•
Eclipse launched from a desktop icon does not inherit your shell PATH. If the CLI is not found, set its path in Preferences.
•
The file commands need a real file on disk — an untitled buffer or a jar entry has no path to hand the CLI.
Where to get it
Prefer the registry listing where one exists: it self-updates and your editor's own extension browser expects it. The repository is the fallback and the place to read the source.
