How to permanently delete your Local Keep AI account, what is removed, what is retained and for how long.
Deleting your account
You can delete your Local Keep AI account and its data at any time, from any client, without contacting us. Deletion is permanent and is not reversible once it completes.
From the app
•
Open Account — on the web and desktop it is in the left-hand rail; on iPhone and Android it is in the menu.

Choose Delete account.
•
Confirm. You are signed out on every device immediately.
By email
If you cannot sign in — a lost device, a closed mailbox, or an account you no longer have access to — email info@localkeep.ai from any address and say which account you want deleted. We verify ownership before acting, and we complete verified requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
•
Your account and sign-in identity.
•
Every conversation, message and generated file stored in your account.
•
Uploaded files and attachments.
•
Registered devices, including any SMS bridge computers and their authorised contacts.
•
Connected third-party integrations and the tokens held for them.
•
Your usage counters and plan entitlements.
What is kept, and why
Two things outlive the account, and both are legal obligations rather than choices we make:
•
Billing and tax records for completed transactions, retained for the period tax law requires. These contain the transaction, not your conversations.
•
Security and abuse logs, retained up to 90 days, then deleted on the normal rotation.
Anything that ran on your own hardware was never sent to us and so is not ours to delete. Models you downloaded, and conversations answered by a local model, live on your device — removing the app removes them.
How long it takes
•
In-app deletion: immediate. Your data is removed from live systems as the request completes.
•
Encrypted backups: purged on their normal rotation, within 30 days.
•
Email requests: completed within 30 days of us verifying ownership.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store, because those are held by the store rather than by us. Cancel it in Google Play or in your Apple subscriptions before deleting, or you will continue to be billed by the store for a service you can no longer reach.
